I hope that all's well in your life.  I sincerely do.  I've been contemplating. I do not know exactly how to get this internet deal to spit out enough money for me to pay all my bills and have a few laughs instead of me dying alone over here from old age and such.  I have never experienced such a thing.  Well I never!

Otis, The Mountain Poet!  

   I am working on a theme.  I had a friend from when I first moved to Indiana.  I met Otis when were playng in a little Pub owned by Paul and Alice Polson (sp), a couple of expatriated Danish owners of "The Ugly Duckling Pub". 

   Otis was from real Tennessee and was familiar with being a hillbilly and spoke the language fluently.  He could have taught a graduate level class in Hilbonics (c) Litttle Paintsville.  He called me Litttle Paintsville  even even though I was raised mostly in Prestonsburg  since he knew where Paintsville was and when I was telling him where I was from he heard Paintsville and that was me from then on.  Otis was one of the wisest people I've ever known.  He was a story telling machine.  Well, I recorded a lot of our conversations in the last years of his life and since I'm trying to catch your attention to the tune of room and board.  I'm producing some Podcasts of recorded phone conversations that are quite entertaining.  He was also a really good song writer.  Too bad he was paranoid about something and never sent me his songs.  Really sad that his songs are never to be heard.  I offered to record and produce them for nothing but he felt, for some reason, that I was trying to rip him off.  No way.
